Senior Android Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to creating cutting-edge mobile experiences. You will work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to develop innovative Android solutions for a major U.S. client of Digital Craft.

Location and Modality

📍 Argentina, Colombia o Perú Remote LATAM 
💻 Remote 100% 

Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and implement robust Android applications using Kotlin and Java.

    • Integrate mobile apps with backend services and APIs.

    • Participate in UI/UX discussions, providing recommendations to optimize usability and design.

    • Actively engage in agile processes: sprint planning, code reviews, and feature definition.

    • Write and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure product reliability.

    • Research and adopt new technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency.

    • Communicate directly with U.S. stakeholders to deliver top-tier solutions.

Requirements

    • 5+ years of professional experience in Android development.

    • Proficiency in native application development with Kotlin and Java.

    • Experience building apps compatible with Android 6.0 (API 23) and above.

    • Strong understanding of architectures such as MVVM, MVC, or Clean.

    • Experience designing adaptive and responsive interfaces for multiple devices.

    • Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and critical thinking skills.

    • Advanced English (spoken and written).

Nice to Have

    • Experience with Jetpack Compose and migrations from XML layouts.

    • Familiarity with Jetpack Navigation and Open API (Swagger) standards.

    • Experience prototyping and iterating on new features.
