We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Django to work on backend services and APIs that power key components of our platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, build scalable backend systems, and ensure high performance and reliability.

Senior Backend Engineer (Python & Django)

Key Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python & Django.
    • Build and extend REST APIs that integrate with frontend and other services.
    • Collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust features.
    • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot backend applications for performance and reliability.
    • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
    • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
    • Ensure backend services meet standards for security, scalability, and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

    • Strong professional experience with Python.
    • Deep knowledge of Django and building backend services.
    • Proficiency in REST API design.
    • Solid understanding of database systems (SQL/NoSQL).
    • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD workflows.
    • Familiarity with cloud environments and deployment tooling.
    • English proficiency for international collaboration.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

    • Experience with microservices architectures.
    • Knowledge of message queues or event-driven systems.
    • Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Docker).
    • Background working in globally distributed teams.
