We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a team that operates and evolves a complex distributed architecture spanning physical machines, Kubernetes, and cloud computing environments. You will be part of a high-impact team focused on operational excellence, reliability, and performance.

Location and Modality

Location: Montevideo, Uruguay (Hybrid 3×2). Posibilidad de relocation desde otro pais de Latam.

Key Responsibilities

    • Work across multiple layers of the technology stack.
    • Participate in an on-call rotation as part of a shared support model.
    • Collaborate closely with development teams.
    • Mentor and support junior support staff.
    • Contribute to the integration of AI-driven solutions into production systems.

Requirements

    • Strong knowledge of Linux system internals, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
    • Solid understanding of networking and ability to debug complex connectivity issues.
    • Hands-on experience with distributed systems (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, Kerberos).
    • Experience with CI/CD tools and modern SDLC practices.
    • Proficiency with containers and virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar).
    • Experience with observability and telemetry tools.
    • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python preferred).
    • Ability to collaborate with developers and support production systems.
    • Experience or interest in integrating AI solutions into infrastructure.
